Healthy Communities Fund (HCF) Grant Program
Provincial Funding Stream
The provincial stream of the HCF Grant Program provides opportunities for organizations with a provincial mandate to plan and deliver province-wide projects that benefit communities across Ontario.
Provincial projects must have an impact across all four Ministry regions: North, Central, East, and West (a map displaying the four regional boundaries is available in Appendix B of the Program Guidelines). If a project targets communities in only two or three regions, it is not classified as a true provincial-level project and should be submitted as a local/regional proposal.
How to Apply
Applicants applying for provincial HCF grant funding will be required to participate in a two-step application process. The first step or phase of the process involves the submission of a "Statement of Interest" after consulting with a Ministry Program Coordinator. Applicants who are successful in this first phase will be invited to submit a full-length, online HCF Application Form detailing the proposed project in its entirety.

The intake for the 2012-2013 Healthy Communities Fund Grant Program has ended.
NEW ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS
In 2012, all HCF applications, except for the Statement of Interest, will be submitted electronically as part of a new Government of Ontario initiative called Grants Ontario.
Enrolment:
All applicants must complete a one-time, two-step enrolment process to access the Grants Ontario System.
The enrolment process through the Government of Ontario's secure ONe-key website will be available Monday, January 23, 2012 at which time an enrolment user guide will be provided on the new Grants Ontario web portal under the "How To Apply" tab.
Please enrol as soon as possible beginning January 23, 2012 and allow at least five (5) business days for the enrolment process to take effect. Please complete this step at least two (2) weeks before the Statement of Interest "Deadline" on February 13, 2012.
Applying Online:
Applicants who complete the enrolment process and receive an invitation to complete the full-length application form may log-in to Grants Ontario using their organization's ONe-key username and password and apply for the HCF Grant Program.
