The purpose of the Coordinating Committee is to provide advice on the implementation of the Ontario Trails Strategy. Roles will include advising on grant project priorities for years two through five, monitoring progress towards achievements of key deliverables, and keeping interested groups abreast of developments while providing them with opportunities to offer input.

The inaugural meeting of the Ontario Trails Coordinating Committee was held on March 20, 2006. The committee met on June 26, 2006 and will meet again December of 2006. The committee is comprised of the following ministries and stakeholder groups:

Other key interest groups such as the forestry industry, fur trappers and prospectors will be kept abreast through a networking contact list and will be invited to provide input where appropriate.
