Games Overview

Hosting the Toronto 2015™ Pan American and Parapan American Games

In summer 2015, Ontario will host the Pan American and Parapan American Games, the largest multi-sport event staged on Canadian soil since the 1976 Olympic Summer Games.

It will be the third time Canada has presented this world-class event and the first time in more than 80 years that Ontario will host one of this magnitude.

More than 10,000 athletes, coaches and delegates from the Caribbean and Central, South and North America will compete in 48 sports at more than 40 venues, spread across several municipalities of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region.

Scheduled every four years–one year before the Summer Olympic Games–the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games present high performance splendour, excitement and sportsmanship, flavoured by the spirit of the Americas.
